Execution: I chose high-resolution black and white images depicting the Eiffel Tower's construction, ensuring they were suitable for impactful colourisation and large-format printing.

  1. Digital Tools: Using Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom tablet, I applied precise and natural brushwork for realistic colouring.

  2. Masking Techniques: In Photoshop, I created detailed masks to isolate elements like the sky, structures, and people, facilitating accurate colour application.

  3. Colour Palette Research: I researched period-specific colours to ensure historical accuracy, focusing on materials, clothing, and the Parisian landscape of that era.

  4. Layering and Blending: Employing multiple layers, I blended colours seamlessly for a natural look, crucial for the authenticity of the scenes.

  5. Image Enhancement: Post-colourisation, I enhanced image quality, sharpened details, and adjusted contrasts to prepare the photos for large-scale printing and digital platforms.
